Kaidi Wang, Principal Analyst
Kaidi Wang joined the Badlands NGLs team in January 2015 to provide petro chemical industry, market, commodity and pricing research.
In her position as our Principal Analyst, Kaidi is responsible for conducting analytical market research, including connecting with industry professionals and engineers, and undertaking primary research on potential and existing investment opportunities in the petrochemical industry. She also conducts discounted cash flow, comparable companies and precedent transactions analysis for Badlands’ more than $4 billion plant projection. In her role at Badlands, she also creates due diligence profiles for the company and evaluates the company’s fund raising process with our management team, investment bankers and potential investors.
Kaidi has an extensive background in financial analysis, marketing and research. Prior to joining the Badlands team, Kaidi worked as an Investment Banking Analyst for Sunrise Securities, a New York-based Investment Banking and Financial Advisory firm. Her duties included analytic research for existing and potential investment opportunities. She led the team performing screening and due diligence for startups and venture capital opportunities.
Kaidi earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2011 from Ohio State University, majoring in finance, and achieved the Dean’s List of Leadership from 2008 -2011 and graduated summa cum laude. In 2012, she earned her Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, where she also represented the university at the CFA Institute Research Challenge, and placed third in the British Petroleum 2012 Professional Responsibility Strategy Case Competition.
